This is our third country so far this year (Greece, Italy and Spain) and the difference in language and food is incredible. Italy wins hands down on both food and language, but the Spanish people are so much fun that we are definitely happy to be staying in Spain for the winter.
We had an interesting crossing from Sardinia. The weather forecast was good, but on our first night (it’s a 50 hour trip), there were at least four separate lightening storms about 100 nm south. They didn’t bother us, but the seas were kicked up and for the next 20 hours we rolled and pitched through the swell. We had Adrienne and Brook on board. It was Adrienne’s first night sail and she was a gem to have aboard through the uncomfortable and moonless nights.
